Why Most People Struggle With Ecommerce

Ecommerce appears simple from the outside. Behind the scenes, it demands constant attention across product research, supplier sourcing, inventory management, listing optimisation, fulfillment coordination, customer service, compliance, and scaling strategy.

For most people, this becomes a second full time job.

Many start. Few scale. Even fewer build sustainable systems.

The issue is not motivation.

The issue is infrastructure, experience, and proven systems.

You should not need to become an ecommerce expert to own an ecommerce business.

You should be able to own it without running it.

That is what we provide.

Certified Vendors and Marketplace Approval

Selling branded products on Walmart and Amazon requires strict approval.

Sellers must provide legitimate wholesale invoices from approved distributors, maintain strong account health metrics, meet performance standards, and comply fully with each marketplace's policies.

Many new sellers are denied access because they do not meet these requirements.

Ecom Asset Manager works with certified wholesale vendors and authorised distributors that meet Walmart and Amazon's standards.

Our systems, documentation, and sourcing relationships allow us to pass necessary approval processes where permitted.

We operate within each marketplace's framework and build stores designed for stability and longevity.

A Message From Our CEO

Joseph Harris, CEO & Founder
Joe Harris
CEO & Founder

Joe Harris is a U.S. based serial entrepreneur, technology founder, and eCommerce operator with a track record of building scalable, system driven businesses within the Amazon marketplace. Born and raised in South Florida, Joe developed an early interest in both finance and technology, which would later become the foundation of his career.

He went on to formalise this skill set by earning an MBA in Finance from Florida Atlantic University, where he deepened his understanding of financial systems, investment strategy, and business scalability. Alongside his academic background, Joe also built a strong technical foundation in computer programming, allowing him to bridge the gap between data, automation, and business operations.

One of Joe's earliest and most notable ventures was the creation of InventoryLab, a CRM and inventory management platform designed specifically for Amazon sellers. At the time, sellers lacked clear systems to accurately track profitability, manage inventory flow, and understand their true margins. Joe identified this gap and built a solution that quickly became widely adopted across the eCommerce industry.

InventoryLab played a critical role in helping thousands of Amazon sellers operate more efficiently by giving them clarity over their numbers, buying decisions, and overall business performance. The platform grew into one of the most recognised tools in the space and was ultimately acquired in 2021 by a New York based venture backed firm, marking a successful exit and solidifying Joe's position as both a software innovator and entrepreneur.

Following this, Joe turned his full focus toward eCommerce operations. Before ever offering services to clients, he built and scaled his own Amazon FBA business from the ground up, growing it into a multi million dollar operation generating over $5 million in annual revenue. This was not a theoretical or outsourced model, but a hands on build where Joe and his team developed the systems, supplier relationships, logistics processes, and operational frameworks required to run a high volume Amazon business.

This real world experience became the foundation for what would later become Ecom Asset Manager.

In 2017, Joe founded Ecom Asset Manager, a U.S. registered company headquartered in Plantation, Florida, with the goal of making eCommerce ownership accessible to individuals who wanted to participate in online retail without managing the day to day operations themselves.

Under Joe's leadership, Ecom Asset Manager became an early pioneer of the done for you Walmart and Amazon FBA model. The company specialises in building and operating fully automated eCommerce stores, handling everything from product research and sourcing to supplier management, logistics, inventory control, and ongoing store operations.

To date, Ecom Asset Manager has facilitated the launch and management of over 400+ fully built Walmart and Amazon FBA stores for clients across the United States. Each store is backed by a dedicated operations team, built on the same systems and processes that Joe developed through his own experience scaling a multi million dollar business.

What sets Joe apart is his ability to combine three critical areas of expertise: finance, software development, and eCommerce operations. His background allows him to approach online retail not just as a business, but as a system driven investment model, where data, margins, and scalability are prioritised at every stage.

Rather than relying on trends or short term opportunities, Joe has built his career around creating structured, repeatable systems that are designed for long term sustainability within the Walmart and Amazon ecosystem.

Outside of business, Joe is known to live a grounded and balanced lifestyle. He is an avid golfer, enjoys spending time outdoors, and places a strong emphasis on family. Despite his business success, he remains closely involved in operations and continues to focus on improving systems, optimising performance, and delivering results for clients.
